Maerospace Extends Finance Department with James Brandon Hardie Appointed as Director Of Accounting

Waterloo, ON – 12 July 2022 – Maerospace Corporation, a global supplier of real-time maritime intelligence solutions via industry leading radar systems and innovative data analytics, has expanded the Company’s profile by extending their accounting department with the addition of James Brandon Hardie as Director of Accounting. Eric Meger, Maerospace CEO, made the announcement from headquarters in Waterloo, Canada noting that Hardie, who has earned a CPA designation, will assume the newly formed position of Director of Accounting.

“Maerospace has experienced extraordinary growth this past year, so much in fact, that we now find it necessary to expand our team dedicated to managing the Company’s finances,” explained Meger.  “We’ve added seven members to the team already in 2022 and expect add another 35 by the end of the year. Couple that with a significant increase in contracts, unprecedented potential, our new Cape Race installation, increased presence at industry trade shows and events – and it all adds up to a need to enhance our infrastructure to manage our incredible growth. Brandon is exceptionally qualified and the perfect person to implement best practices and align finances with responsible expansion. We are delighted to welcome him to the team.”

Prior to joining Maerospace, Hardie was Senior Manager of Finance for eSentire, Inc. where he managed and monitored the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Payroll departments, collaborated with the product team  on new product initiatives and costing structures, worked in partnership with a cross functional team to enhance and streamline the order to cash process, and participated in the integration of acquisitions. Hardie also served as Manager Financial Reporting & Compliance for Sleeman Breweries, Ltd., and held senior level managerial, analyst and accounting positions for several Canadian and international organizations including OpenText and Waste Management.

As Director of Accounting at Maerospace, Hardie will engage with senior management regarding decisions that impact the Company’s financial health including spending practices, aquisitions and investments. He will oversee the finance and accounting staffs – working with them to create realistic budgets, analyze trends to reduce risks and maximize the potential of the Company’s portfolio.
